If you’re reading this 2020 Honda CR-V review, then you’re probably looking for a versatile SUV that easily goes from work to play. That’s what you get with the CR-V.
The team at Burns Honda is so excited about everything this vehicle offers drivers around Marlton, Mt. Laurel, and Cherry Hill, so we put together this overview of some of our favorite features. If you like what you read, contact us and we’ll set you up with a test drive!
With front-wheel drive, the 2020 Honda CR-V can get an EPA-estimated fuel efficiency of 28 MPG city and 34 MPG highway on the LX, EX, EX-L, and Touring trim levels.* With all-wheel drive (AWD), the LX, EX, EX-L, and Touring trim levels can get an EPA-estimated MPG of 27 MPG city and 32 MPG highway.*
It achieves these numbers with its standard 1.5L turbocharged I-4 engine that produces 190 horsepower and 179 lb-ft of torque. It’s paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) that balances its impressive performance with efficiency, which is why it’s able to get such high MPG numbers.
As already mentioned, it can come with either front-wheel drive or AWD. Many drivers in our area prefer the AWD system because it’s both smart and full-time. This means that it’s always working to monitor your roadway conditions and make torque distribution adjustments to help improve your traction control.
One of the highlights of the 2020 Honda CR-V is that it comes standard with so many driver-assist and active safety features. These include systems like:
Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed follow comes standard, as well. This system automatically adjusts your cruise control speed when you approach slower-moving traffic on the highway. It can even slow you down to accommodate for heavy traffic and actively adjust to keep you going with the flow.
The Blind Spot Monitoring System is available, too. it alerts you to vehicles in your side blind spot so that you can merge or change lanes with even more confidence.
For our last stop, let’s climb inside the cabin of this compact SUV. While it’s in the compact SUV class, that simply means that it’s agile, versatile, and easy to maneuver. The interior still feels just as spacious as you’d expect from any SUV.
It has a total passenger volume of 105.9 cubic feet and gives drivers a roomy 40.1 inches of headroom. Rear-seat passenger can stretch out in 40.4 inches of legroom. In total, you can carry five passengers, including the driver.
Even with all five seats filled, you’ll be able to bring along 39.2 cubic feet of cargo behind the rear row. This is more than enough space for groceries, sporting equipment, or luggage for your family vacation.
If you spot a great find at an antique shop, want to take a bike out on the trail, or need some extra cargo room for moving into a new apartment, simply fold down the second-row seats. This will give you an impressive 75.8 cubic feet of total cargo volume to work with.
